This is the online home of York’s leading Northern Soul & Mod nights:
"THERE WAS A TIME" (<--- click here) & "THE WATERFRONT BLUES & SOUL CLUB".  Our music policy is to play soulful tunes from 60's & 70's Northern Soul, 60's R&B and Ultra Modern Soul to Soulful Latin, Soulful Jazz and Soulful Jazz.  We mix it up by playing soulful grooves that you will know and some that you won't.  A selection of some of these are available as audio clips on the CURRENT SOULFUL FAVES page.
We also produce our own soulful grooves which are available as audio clips on the PRODUCTIONS page and for download on the DOWNLOADS page.
"There Was A Time" is a FREE ENTRY night on the last Friday of every month @ Kennedy's Wine Bar (Basement), York city centre.  "The Waterfront Blues & Soul Club" comprises FREE ENTRY Sunday afternoon chill-out sessions and 'paid for' Saturday nights @ The Riverside Bar (City Screen York) again in the city centre.  Please check the EVENTS & TICKET INFO page for all dates for 2011.
